Writing an Imperfect Art_2024

Writing has always been a challenging task, but it’s never too difficult. In this blog post, I am going to suggest some tips for beginners who aspire to become writers. Let’s get started.

1. Be brief

Many individuals, when beginning to write, often default to lengthy passages and narratives. As a new writer, one must be concise in their writing. Ensure that you begin with brief and clear paragraphs to maintain coherence and chronological flow easily.

Most of the time, new writers make their writing disorderly in order to make their writing long. However, newbies should start with short and brief paragraphs.

2.Use simple and academic English

Integrating academic language in your write-ups upgrades your content. It provides clarity and precision to your content. Mostly, bloggers and essayists use academic language to attract readers and engage audiences’ attention.

Using basic vocabulary can attract more readers. A beginner should use simple syntax and semantics to ensure their ideas are understood by readers. The best trick I find useful is to jot down expressions used by other scholars or adept writers in their texts and understand their purpose. Moreover, incorporating transitions into your writing can enhance its aesthetic appeal and clarity.

3. Consistency and Read More

As previously mentioned, writing is an imperfect art, it may never be perfect but can certainly be enhanced. If you began writing 2 years ago, you will notice a significant change in your writing today. Consistency and reading play a significant role in making your sentence structure clear and effective. Spend 30 minutes sitting down, brainstorm for 5 minutes, and use the remaining 25 minutes to create a draft daily.

4. Start posting

You decide to begin writing and after a month, you find yourself in the same situation longing to start writing. It’s not just about contemplating and imagining; it’s about taking that initial step.

You must share your initial draft on your social media platform; Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn. It will require bravery to expose yourself, but once you begin sharing, you will gain more confidence. I strongly suggest posting your first tweet or blog without overthinking the results.

5. Feedbacks

Receiving feedback is crucial as it helps you improve and learn more. Feedback plays a significant role in helping you produce quality content by clarifying communication and highlighting unclear or ambiguous ideas. Additionally, positive feedback encourages growth, boosts confidence, and motivates writers to continue refining their craft.

So, this is my suggestion for all the aspiring writers out there.
