Meet Qamar Abbas – originally from Baltistan, a rising sophomore at IBA Karachi pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He is the mastermind behind Rahnumaa__1.0 , a student-led university counseling organization that reached over 30 schools locally, impacting more than 6,000 students, and helping them make well-prepared decisions for higher education — a service that is rare in the region.
Qamar is an outstanding example of a socially conscious leader deeply connected to his roots. Through his work with organizations like Global Shapers Karachi Hub, he has consistently demonstrated strong leadership traits — from serving as President of Meezan Youth Organization and receiving the Best Participant Award at the prestigious Young Leaders Conference.
Even for the recent mega university counseling session, Qamar leveraged his leadership skills to mobilize a network of volunteer mentors from top institutes in Pakistan, including IBA Karachi, LUMS, and AKU.
We are truly proud of his tireless efforts, which have positively impacted thousands of lives in Baltistan. Qamar Abbas is living proof of the transformative power of vision, dedication, and community service, and he stands as an inspiration to the youth of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.
